London Fashion Week AW14

How was everyone’s fashion week? I spent most of it avidly flicking through my Instagram feed trying to follow as many shows as possible but last Saturday I made it down to Somerset House for the real thing to cover a couple of shows for Fault Magazine. As wonderful as it is being able to see the shows instantly online, nothing beats soaking up the atmosphere and feeling the vibe set by each designer when you watch it in person.

First up was Holly Fulton. The new collection is delightful and feminine; we expected no less. Applique cartoon hands and boots injection a sense of fun to the pastel colours but my favourite look had to be the silver spaghetti strap dress with graphic rose gold patterning…

Next on our agenda was John Rocha. The enormous ruffles of fabric surrounding the models like petals brought a dose of dramatic romanticism to next season. Read my full review of the show on Fault Magazine online.

I spent the rest of my day exploring the showrooms and the Fault Team also took a quick Mojito stop at the Shopcade London Fashion Week party bus. It was great to work with Fault’s Fashion Editor Rachel, writer Will and photographer Miles. Here’s a little snapshot of the Fault team at Day 2 of LFW as put together by Will…

I strongly recommend following these guys on Twitter:

I’m really looking forward to writing more for Fault and you can check out the first interview I wrote for them with artist Johny Dar here.
